DeathToll Arena Qualifiers #2 Runner-up - GenesisGAMING Swiftflight Interview!

13 Aug 2012

Introduce yourself, please.
Hello, my name is Benjamin Chan also known as Swiftflight or previously Mooziee in CSO. I am currently 25 and I do marketing in the marine offshore industry. I have been playing CS for more than 10 years now and have previously played for clans such as Winning With Luck and FactuaL back during 1.3/1.6 days.

My role in the team is basically more of a support role in game and to keep the players in check. I also act as the backup commander and team manager.

How did you get started with CS:O? How long have you been playing CS:O?
I first started playing CS:O during the first NewPaper competition held at expo, back in 2010 (I think?). Basically I never knew CS:O existed until my old WWL mates asked me to play with them. I have been playing CS:O pretty much ever since.

Why do you call yourself Swiftflight? Is there any significance to it?
There is no particular significance to the nickname. Our team pretty much chose our nicknames of a list from a website (for medieval horses, yes lol) and well I thought Swiftflight sounded pretty cool.

Which is your most memorable win in CS:O competitions you have participated in so far.I'd have to say the match against EveryShotCounts in the most recent DTA competition, as it was quite a miracle comeback and I didn't expect to win. However, I'd say the first match against Ameliorate was pretty memorable as well (although it was not a win) and we totally lost it.

Is there any teams you have not but wish to challenge in future CS:O competitions?
Litelab.

Do you have any pet peeves during gaming in CS:O?
It would be the "optical zoom", for people who know me lol. Also, redbull is a must.

What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you in a CS:O competition?
Having the manager of E2Max come to the staircase area where like 20 of us were smoking and shoo us out.

Have you tried other CS:O modes besides Original and Team Deathmatch?
Gun Deathmatch is pretty fun, don't need points, don't need to buy guns and it's pretty challenging all the same. Not really a huge fan of zombie modes and human scenario modes though.

Any last shoutout to the CS:O community?
Thanks to all our supporters, friends, those who came down as well as those who sent us well wishes, and also especially to GBL who stayed all the way and watched us play the final match against Bovines. Shoutouts also to the IAH team for making the effort to keep the competitive gaming scene alive and organize such competitions. Great job guys and keep the competitions coming.
